Joey Porter is definitely a familiar name for Baltimore Ravens fans.

He was one of the most dominant defensive players in the AFC North, leading the Pittsburgh Steelers for almost a decade.

Now, the team has the ultimate opportunity of finally getting back at him by drafting his very own son, of all people.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Ravens will host star CB prospect Joey Porter Jr. for a top-30 visit, with the young man also visiting the Las Vegas Raiders later in the week.

Penn St CB Joey Porter Jr is on a visit with the #Ravens today, source said, and he’s also got the #Raiders on his list. Interestingly, Baltimore is where @MoveTheSticks has Porter mocked https://t.co/qPIgBDuD7L

Ravens HC John Harbaugh joked about how cool it would be to have Joey Porter rooting for the Ravens, adding that his son was just as good as him but as a defensive back.

That’s not too far from what NFL scouts have said about him in the past.

The Penn State standout has the perfect size, length, and wingspan to thrive in his position, and he’s been a physical specimen who often overmatches and intimidates whoever he’s covering.

He’s a gifted athlete with top-notch speed and solid ball skills, thriving and challenging opposing QBs to throw his way, and making them pay when that’s the case.

The Ravens currently have the 22nd pick in the first round and Porter could be just the right guy for Harbaugh and GM Eric DeCosta.

He logged 20 passes defended, one pick, and 113 total tackles in four seasons with the Nittany Lions, being named an All-American last season.

So, will the Steelers keep the family ties and get him at 17th overall?

Or will he fall right into one of their biggest rivals?

We’ll have to wait and see.
