The New York Jets have been incredibly active during the 2023 NFL offseason, adding several new players to their roster.

On the offensive side of the ball, they’ve added Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman in hopes of luring Aaron Rodgers away from the Green Bay Packers.

While the Jets wait on Rodgers to officially be traded to their team, they have added another veteran quarterback to be a backup.

The #Jets are signing veteran QB Tim Boyle to a one-year deal, source says. He reunites with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who was his OC with the #Packers.

And that means someday between now and the end of time, he’ll reunite with this guy, too… pic.twitter.com/hIt0ddPNuU

However, when they saw that Boyle was the signed player, their excitement dwindled.

Rodgers just sitting back seeing all of his buddies get signed. Imagine if he still doesn’t get traded there

As this fan points out, the Jets have spent significant time and capital to sign Rodgers’ friends and former teammates.

While it seems unlikely at this point, there is a small possibility that Rodgers still doesn’t end up on the Jets if the deal falls through.

The NFL Draft is right around the corner, and both the Jets and the Packers are working to solidify their draft boards.

With the details of the Rodgers trade still undecided, the Jets still are unaware of what draft picks they will need to surrender.

How will the Jets be able to build their roster moving forward under Rodgers’ leadership?

There are several moving pieces still in play for both sides.
