It’s no secret that Shohei Ohtani is a generational talent.
The Los Angeles Angels are lucky enough to have both him and Mike Trout in the same starting lineup.
On the mound, Ohtani is just as good as he is in the batter’s box.
On Opening Day against the Oakland Athletics, the right-hander and soon-to-be free agent struck out 10 batters.
On Wednesday, he followed up that performance with eight more strikeouts as the Angels defeated the Seattle Mariners by a final of 4-3.
On Twitter, the Angels posted a compilation video of all of Ohtani’s strikeouts from Wednesday to get fans excited for the day.

Waking up to a video of Ohtani striking out eight batters from a powerful Mariners lineup is an ideal way to start a day.
But it’s especially good for Angels fans.
Their team is now 4-2 on the season and Ohtani is off to a hot start in what could be his final year wearing Angels gear.
On Wednesday, the two-way star pitched six innings and allowed just one run on three hits while also walking four batters.
The Halos are also tied atop the American League West with the Texas Rangers, who are also 4-2 on the year.
But Ohtani striking out batters is a sight for sore eyes these days.
Angels fans are more than accustomed to seeing this every time he pitches.
And so, it’s a perfect way for Angels fans to begin their day.
The Angels are playing well and Ohtani has pitched like his usual self in his first two starts.
