The New England Patriots must have a long discussion about their quarterback.

Currently, they have Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe as the top two quarterbacks on their depth chart.

But, there have been some whispers that the Patriots want to move on from Jones.

If that is the case, there are a few options they could look towards.

The first one is Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

He demanded a trade from the Ravens and is looking for a new place to call home.

Jackson seems like a perfect fit in New England.

They already have a stout defense and are known for running the ball effectively.

But, seeing how new offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien changes the scheme will be interesting.

If the Patriots feel that Jackson is too expensive, then Zappe could be another option to start if they trade Jones.

He started four games last season, and led the Pats to a 2-2 record.

Also, he gained respect from many of the players in the Patriots locker room.

Dov Kleiman shared a video of Dan Patrick saying that the Patriots locker room has a “lot of support” for Zappe.

It is never good to have a locker room split on any issues, especially on who should start at quarterback.

The Patriots will have some tough decisions to make for the rest of this offseason.

Some of which could change the long-term outlook of the franchise.
