The Chicago Bears have been very active this offseason.
They entered with the first overall pick in the NFL Draft, an asset that many teams were interested in.
In this particular draft, it seems like the first pick was bound to be used on a quarterback.
But, since the Bears do not need a quarterback they decided to trade the pick.
Chicago sent the first pick to the Carolina Panthers for a package including the ninth overall pick and wide receiver D.J. Moore.
This was a move many people expected the Bears to make and now they have more draft capital to use.
Chicago needs help on the offensive line and defense.
It appears that the Bears are addressing one of these problems through free agency.
According to Adam Schefter, the Bears agreed to a one-year contract with defensive lineman Rasheem Grant.
Former Texans’ free-agent defensive lineman Rasheem Green is a signing a one-year deal with the Bears, per source.

Grant is a nice depth piece, and he joins a defense full of new names.
Chicago already signed T.J. Edwards and Tremaine Edmunds this offseason.
They are looking to start competing in 2023.
It will be interesting to see how the Bears use their draft picks this year.
Now that they select ninth overall you can bet that pick will be an offensive lineman or defensive player.
Some of the names that have been linked to the Bears are OT Peter Skoronski and DL Jalen Carter.
In total, the Bears have 10 draft picks this year.
They must find a way to hit on most of those picks.
