The NFL offseason is filled with excitement at times, especially around the draft, and the initial rush of free agency.
However, because no games are being played, at a certain point, NFL analysts and TV personalities take liberties to discuss topics that aren’t necessarily football-related.
On a recent edition of Good Morning Football, Kyle Brandt and Peter Schrager highlighted the top-five fittest NFL head coaches.
“Our coach can beat up your coach!”

Brandt and Schrager identified Robert Saleh, Sean McDermott, Dan Campbell, DeMeco Ryans, and Sean McVay as the top-five fittest coaches.
While they had a lot to say about each of these coaches, they gave an overwhelmingly positive report about Saleh.
“Robert Saleh makes Sean McVay look like Eric Cartman,” said Brandt.
While Saleh never played in the NFL, he has committed himself to fitness and remains incredibly strong at the age of 44.
Brandt and Schrager highlighted McDermott’s wrestling and football days, pointing out that his former sporting endeavors have contributed to his physique.
They also discuss Campbell, citing that they learned much about him during Hard Knocks, and fell in love with his personality, and the Detroit Lions in general.
Ultimately, this segment may seem futile to some, especially since it doesn’t directly involve these coaches’ teams, or how the 2023 season will go.
But, this is the offseason.
The show must go on, even at a time when NFL news has hit a standstill.
The draft has yet to occur, and topics such as the fittest NFL coaches might just be enough to get TV personalities through a dry news cycle.
