The Atlanta Braves have had to make some key adjustments as of late.
With the departure of Dansby Swanson, the Braves were in need of a new shortstop, and have since improvised to find a solution.
There are two potential options in-house, those being Orlando Arcia and Vaughn Grissom.
So far, Arcia has received most of the playing time, and has performed quite well.
He is hitting for a .370 average with two home runs and four RBI in 27 at-bats and also has an OPS of 1.081.
On Thursday, Arcia played the hero for the Braves as they rallied from a late deficit to defeat the San Diego Padres by a final of 7-6.
Arcia’s journey has been full of ups and downs.
Former Braves star Mark DeRosa raved about Arcia on MLB Network and discussed his journey.

Arcia was signed by the Milwaukee Brewers out of Venezuela at the age of 16 and ultimately hit his way through the ranks of the Brewers system.
He appeared in the Futures Game in 2015 and later made his MLB debut with the Brewers.
Arcia had a difficult rookie season, but ultimately improved and became a force at shortstop for the Brewers in 2018, hitting a few home runs in the postseason.
But it wasn’t long before the Brewers shipped Arcia to the Braves.
Now in Atlanta, Arcia appears to have the shortstop job down cold with Swanson now in Chicago.
He was once the No. 6 prospect in all of baseball, but now is showing off his potential.
