After the public dispute between Tyler O’Neill and manager Oli Marmol, fans of the St. Louis Cardinals have begun to make several assumptions.
Some assume that there are other underlying issues and others are predicting that Marmol will be fired or O’Neill will be traded.
Though it’s premature to be thinking about either of those things, some Cardinals fans have jumped the gun and have proposed potential trade ideas.
According to Ken Rosenthal, the Cardinals had discussed a trade with the Miami Marlins during the offseason, with O’Neill being a name that was thrown around.
On Twitter, a fan responded to this report and proposed a trade that would send O’Neill to Miami in exchange for left-hander Jesus Luzardo.

The trade deadline is not for another few months, so it’s clear that this is merely speculation.
But fans have already gone to extremes here and have made some bold claims.
On one end, fans may want Marmol fired for his handling of the situation.
On the other end, some fans want O’Neill to be traded for a starting pitcher, something that the team will likely need at the deadline.
There appears to be no in-between on this issue.
This ultimately means that there may be fans speculating on this issue for the next couple of months leading up to the deadline and predicting what may happen when the time comes.
The Cardinals are currently 2-4 on the season and head into Milwaukee to begin a six-game road trip while sitting in last place in the NL Central.
