On Thursday night, two powerhouses in the National League engaged in a seesaw battle.
At Truist Park, the Atlanta Braves played host to the San Diego Padres.
The game was back and forth, with both teams trading punches for much of the night.
In the end, the Braves emerged victorious, winning on shortstop Orlando Arcia‘s walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning.
But with the game tied at six in the bottom of the eighth, the Padres got some excellent defense out of slugger Juan Soto.
Ozzie Albies hit a soft line drive out to left field, but Soto covered a ton of ground and ultimately dove to make a spectacular catch and keep the game tied at six.

Ultimately, it wasn’t enough to save the Padres from suffering a heartbreaking loss.
However, this catch was pretty sensational.
Soto needed to cover a lot of ground and do so very quickly.
Fortunately for the Padres, he was able to do just that and rob Albies of what would have otherwise been a go-ahead base-hit.
Though the Braves won the game, it would not come for another inning, with Soto’s catch having kept the Padres alive.
The Padres fell to 3-4 after their loss to the Braves, but did manage to hit Spencer Strider pretty well.
And Soto’s defense added a little something extra to what was already a crazy game.
San Diego will continue their four-game series on Friday and send right-hander Nick Martinez to the mound as they look for a win.
