The Boston Red Sox are off to a bit of a tough start in 2023, having lost four of their first seven games.
However, one of their key offseason additions has been making an impact.
After the departures of J.D. Martinez and Xander Bogaerts, Boston added Justin Turner, Masataka Yoshida, and Adam Duvall, and Duvall has been off to a hot start with his new team.
He has already hit three home runs and picked up 12 RBI on the season.
In fact, he has made some Red Sox history in the process, becoming the fourth player in team history to hit three or more home runs and drive in 12 or more runs through the first six games of a season.

Also on the list are players such as Bobby Doerr, Ted Williams, and Faye Throneberry.
Doerr leads the pack, having hit four home runs and picking up 14 RBI back in 1941.
But so far, the addition of Duvall has been a big one for the Red Sox, who are looking to prove their doubters wrong after a difficult 2022 season.
Last year, the Sox finished 78-84 and fell to the bottom of the American League East.
With the New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Bay Rays, and Baltimore Orioles in the division, this will be no easy task.
But having a powerful presence like Duvall in the middle of the order is key for the Red Sox this year.
And he’s off to a hot start this year.
The Red Sox will hope that Duvall continues his hot streak.
