The Miami Heat knew they had to fight hard on Thursday night to earn their spot in next week’s play-in tournament.
And fight they did.
The team ended up with a surprising 129-101 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday.
There were multiple stars doing their best to make that victory possible.
One of the stars was Kevin Love, who quite literally put his body on the line to earn the W.
As noted by NBA on ESPN, Love took four charges in the fourth quarter alone, getting knocked down by Sixers players again and again.

People on Twitter were commenting on, making light, and having fun with Love’s charging calls.
One fan noted that Love looked legitimately happy to be playing for the Heat.
Sure enough, people caught Love smiling after a few of the charges.

“Bro was just in the way the whole fourth lol,” another fan said, commenting on Love’s ability to always find a Sixers player and plant himself in their path.

Many were shocked that Philadelphia didn’t get wise to Love’s defense.
How do the sizers just keep running over defenders you’d think they learned

“They couldn’t see him or what?” another user joked.

Love joined the Heat earlier in the season.
Some were wondering what he would bring to the team and how he would help them.
He has a lot of experience in the league and he obviously has a huge amount of expertise.
He’s also a seasoned vet who knows how to defend and make himself useful even if he can’t move with the same speed and power that he once had.
Thursday showed fans that Love is willing to do whatever it takes to win, including bang his body up and take quite a few hits.
He likely enjoyed a very long ice bath after this game.
