We are reaching the end of the road for the relationship between the Houston Rockets and head coach Stephen Silas.
According to NBA writer Jake Fischer, via NBACentral, the Rockets are “not expected to bring back Stephen Silas after this season.”
Two of the names being tossed around as possible candidates to replace Silas are Nick Nurse and Scott Brooks.

With an atrocious 20-60 record, the thought of Silas losing his job isn’t shocking in the slightest.
But is that dreadful track record Silas’ fault?
A slew of fans hopped on Twitter after Fischer’s report and there were many defenders of Silas.
Some fans said that the Rockets’ fanbase will be downright jubilant if and when he is laid off.

However, some people said Houston was making the wrong choice.
“I don’t think they should let him go. What is he realistically supposed to do with this roster? Young talent with egos lol going to be tough for any HC,” Kaleb Earls said.

“Hardest part is, it’s not even his fault,” another fan said.
All season long, Silas has looked tortured on the sidelines as his young team has struggled to find a rhythm and build upon its potential.
Yet, few people really expected him to find much success with this team, which will probably be great in a few years but painfully lacking for the time being.

“Silas didn’t have a fair shot from the beginning I hope he gets another opportunity to coach a good roster,” one fan said while adding that Nurse, who is currently coaching the Toronto Raptors, would be a great replacement.

For months now, it’s been obvious that Silas was going to lose his job in the offseason.
It’s the way that the NBA works, no matter if it’s fair or not.
He will likely find another job within the league soon but now speculation is wondering who will step in and replace him in Houston.
