Ever since recovering from an ACL injury he suffered during Super Bowl LVI, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been angling for a return to the NFL.
He initially wanted to return late last season, ideally for a contending team, but to no avail.
Recently, he held a workout that many teams reportedly attended, and he has been waiting to see who has serious interest in him.
One team that seems to have at least some interest in him is the New York Jets, who will meet with him in person, give him a physical and see if he would fit in with Aaron Rodgers presumably at quarterback next season.
The #Jets long-awaited meeting with WR Odell Beckham Jr will be multi-faceted. It will include not only a physical but also a thorough discussion of what to expect in an Aaron Rodgers-led offense with a deep WR room. How will it all fit together is a big point of discussion.

Fans like the idea, and some even feel it is inevitable that he ends up with them.
I think this is a nice fit. Jets fans should like this, as he can still help a team win. From a fantasy perspective he hasn’t been elite in several years. I see OBJ finishing somewhere around WR30-40 if he ends up in NYJ and Rodgers does as well. #takeflight #NFLTwitter

This fan feels that although it may happen, it wouldn’t be enough for the Jets to compete with the best in the AFC.
Can’t wait for a cold December Sunday,

Meanwhile, while this fan can see Beckham in a Jets uniform, he thinks Rodgers will end up playing for his hometown team, the San Francisco 49ers.
It’s September 2023. Aaron Rodgers is throwing slants to Deebo Samuel in a 49ers uniform while Zach Wilson overthrows Odell on 3rd and 24. It is raining in New York and everyone is upset.

Beckham may not exactly be what he used to be, but if he is physically up to the task, he could be a very good situational wideout for whichever team he ends up with.
He was once a big-time NFL star who put up at least 1,300 receiving yards and made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons with the New York Giants.
But injuries, including two ACL injuries in a span of less than 18 months, have greatly slowed him down in recent years.
The Jets could use another playmaker at wideout alongside reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard, formerly of the Green Bay Packers.
The team has been reportedly in discussion with the Packers to land Rodgers via trade, but the pace of those negotiations seems to be very slow, and it also seems there is no rush for either team to hurry up.
