The 2023 NFL Draft is only a few weeks away, with all 32 teams in the league trying to put their draft boards together in preparation for the first day of the draft on April 27.
Over the course of the next couple of weeks, some of the top prospects available will move up and down draft boards for teams as they narrow down their options.
Perhaps the biggest name in college football with an uncertain future regarding where he’ll be drafted is defensive tackle Jalen Carter out of Georgia.
After a recent off-the-field incident, Carter’s draft stock plummeted, with many teams no longer interested in using a high draft pick to bring in a player that could prove to be a problem off the field.
However, it appears that the Chicago Bears might be the team that takes a chance on Carter, according to Daniel Greenberg of Chicago Sports Updates.
2 notes regarding NFL draft prospect Jalen Carter and the Chicago Bears:
1) Jalen was in Chicago for 2 days earlier this week, per sources.
2) The Bears have been doing a lot of homework on Jalen including talking with people from his hometown, per sources.

The Bears already made a controversial move in the draft by trading the No. 1 overall pick to the Carolina Panthers, with the team seemingly content with Justin Fields as their new face of the franchise.
Chicago also acquired star wide receiver D.J. Moore from the Panthers, giving them a threat downfield for Fields, which means the attention turning to the defensive side of the football wouldn’t be all that surprising and potentially the right move.
The storied NFL franchise now has the No. 9 overall pick from the Panthers, which would be an ideal spot for Carter, who has refused to visit with any team outside of the top 10.
