Recruiting talent is far from an exact science, and the NFL Draft has proven this over and over.

So, it’s not unusual to see not-so-known prospects silently rise in mock drafts and end up outplaying some higher-touted prospects.

Notably, that might as well be the case again this season.

LSU DB Jarrick Bernard-Converse has become a notable prospect after wowing scouts with a 4.40 40-yard dash and 42-inch vertical at his Pro Day.

Now, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that he’s slated to meet with the New York Jets today, with the Indianapolis Colts and Minnesota Vikings up next.

LSU DB Jarrick Bernard-Converse has become an intriguing draft sleeper since posting a 4.4 40 and 42-inch vertical at his pro day. He’s visiting the #Jets today, then is scheduled to visit the #Colts and #Vikings.

Bernard-Converse’s draft stock has been on the rise for the past couple of weeks.

His athleticism and speed are remarkable, although his numbers in college weren’t exactly impressive.

He proved to be quite solid against the run, but often struggled defending the pass in college, which is why he wasn’t on many teams’ radar before the scouting combine.

Some predict that he could be a day-three pick, while others predict he’ll go undrafted.

But even if that’s the case, that doesn’t mean he won’t get an opportunity to play at the next level, as his physical traits make him too good of a prospect not to give him a chance.

Notably, it’ll be up to him to make the most of that opportunity and prove that he’s way more than what scouts saw from him during his playing days.
