Former NFL quarterback Carson Palmer, who had most of his success in the league with the Cincinnati Bengals, recently made a bold take about superstar quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes.
Palmer believes that Burrow is the best quarterback in the game today, which can immediately be labeled as biased due to his history with the Bengals.
However, Palmer sticks by his take, and ESPN’s Marcus Spears has something to say about it as he vehemently disagrees with the three-time Pro Bowler.

The Kansas City Chiefs are coming off their second Super Bowl title with Mahomes under center and leading the charge for Andy Reid’s squad.
Despite an epic playoff collapse against the Bengals in the previous year, it’s hard to make a legitimate case that Burrow is a better quarterback than Mahomes.
As Spears points out, it simply seems that Palmer prefers Burrow’s style of play when compared to Mahomes because comparing these two superstars is a stretch at this point.
There’s no doubt that Burrow has already proven he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the game with a bright future in the NFL as the face of the Bengals franchise.
However, comparing a player that hasn’t won anything to this point to a player that has won two Super Bowl titles in six seasons is wild, to say the least.
Player comparisons will always happen even when there’s no real case to be made, but Palmer might regret this take as it is way too early to put Burrow in the same category as Mahomes.
