Over the past few months, one of the biggest storylines in the NFL has been what the immediate future holds for superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson due to the stalled contract talks with the Baltimore Ravens.
The drama surrounding Jackson and the Ravens took another drastic twist recently, with the team signing superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal with $15 million guaranteed.
This signing surprised everyone as many anticipated Beckham landing with the New York Jets, whom he was set to meet with.
Not only was Beckham expected to land elsewhere, but Jackson hasn’t signed yet, so the quarterback situation is up in the air.
However, Beckham has been in communication with Jackson, and the superstar quarterback returning to Baltimore may be inevitable, with Emmanuel Acho of Fox Sports believing the signing of the wideout is a game-changer for the Ravens.

If Jackson does indeed come to terms on a new deal with Jackson, the signing of Beckham is a game-changer for Baltimore, as it finally gives the one-time NFL MVP a dependable target in the passing game, which has been sorely lacking.
Although there are a lot of questions about Beckham’s health and whether he can still be a Pro-Bowl-caliber player in the NFL, the gamble might pay off simply because it may convince Jackson to return.
So now the narrative in Baltimore has shifted from potentially losing Jackson to the New England Patriots or Indianapolis Colts to waiting to see what he’ll ultimately be content signing for to continue his career in a Ravens uniform.
