After an ugly and messy Play-in game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, LeBron James and company have officially punched their ticket to the NBA playoffs.
As a result of the win over the Timberwolves, the Lakers will now face the second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs, which will be a significant challenge, to say the least, for Los Angeles.
Although the Grizzlies have had their fair share of issues this season, namely all the off-the-court antics of superstar guard Ja Morant, Memphis is still a force to be reckoned with and will be tough to beat in a seven-game series.
Even though the Grizzlies are favored to come out on top in this first-round matchup, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green believes the Lakers will advance to the second round.
“It will NOT be easy… but I think the Lakers may take this series”

Green makes some key points in his argument that the Lakers will top the Grizzlies in this first-round showdown, but it will come down to the matchup in the paint, with Anthony Davis and potential NBA Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr. going head-to-head.
The battle of the bigs will dictate the outcome of this series, with neither player willing to give up an inch in the paint.
The headlines will likely be dominated by four-time NBA champion LeBron James and Morant being the stars of the show, but the frontcourt will be where this series is won.
If Davis can stay healthy and aggressive, the Lakers could pull off the upset against the Grizzlies, as he is as good as anyone in the league when engaged and motivated.
