Three months ago, no one expected the Los Angeles Lakers to stand a chance in the playoffs.
Fast forward to today, and some people even claim that they’re better than most postseason teams and could win the NBA championship.
Maybe, the truth is somewhere in between.
But whatever the case, they’ll need to go through the Memphis Grizzlies first, and that’ll be way easier said than done.
That’s why Craig Carton believes some analysts and insiders are giving them way too much credit right now.
Carton claims that the Grizzlies are the second seed for a reason, so there’s no way the Lakers are just going to run through them, as so many people think.
As a matter of fact, Carton believes that it’s the Grizzlies that’ll do all the running through, going as far as to predict that they’ll win the series in just five games.

This won’t be an easy series for either team, and Carton is right to laud the Grizzlies after such a remarkable season.
Both teams match up quite well, and one could argue that this could be a bit of a coin-toss.
Logic states that the Grizzlies should have no trouble beating the seventh seed, but it’s also worth noting that the Lakers are no ordinary seventh seed.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis are healthy, and that gives any team a big chance to win ten times out of ten, it doesn’t matter who they go against or if they need to play on the road.
