The New York Jets have faced a tumultuous offseason thus far.
They have dealt with the Aaron Rodgers saga, who has declared his intent to play for them.
However, there is not a deal in place at this time, leaving both the Jets and the Green Bay Packers in limbo.
While this situation has yet to be resolved, the Jets find themselves in another difficult situation, this time, with Quinnen Williams.
According to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Williams will not be present for the beginning of the Jets’ offseason programming.
The two sides have been negotiating over the last few weeks with hopes of finding a solution. Not there yet. So no Quinnen for now. https://t.co/V2dvLaU8tw

As Pelissero reports, Williams let the Jets know that, if he didn’t have a renewed contract, he would not attend this program.
While this could have been seen as a non-issue for the Jets at the time, it appears that Williams is staying true to his word.
Last season, Williams had 55 total tackles, 12 sacks, and two forced fumbles.
Williams is widely seen as one of the best young defensive tackles in the league.
He made a monstrous impact on the Jets’ roster last season and would be a devasting blow to their team if he sat out any games due to contract disputes.
Last season, the Jets had one of the best defenses in the entire league, and Williams was a large part of that.
As they move into 2023, the Jets have made significant additions to their roster, with hopes of breaking their 12-year playoff drought.
If Rodgers officially gets added to the team, many are projecting great success for the Jets.
Is Williams going to be a part of that?
