The defending World Series champion Houston Astros had a night to forget on Sunday as they closed out their three-game weekend series with the new and improved Texas Rangers.
Houston lost by a final score of 9-1 and ultimately dropped the series against the Rangers.
However, that doesn’t mean that there weren’t some positives to take away from it all.
In fact, ALCS and World Series MVP Jeremy Pena had an interesting night.
The young shortstop stole three bases, all of which came within the first four innings of the game.
According to Sarah Langs of MLB.com, Pena is the first Astros player to accomplish this feat since Chris Burke pulled it off on June 29, 2005.

The Astros postseason hero has already stolen four bases this season through the first 16 games.
Houston is 7-9 in those games.
But it hasn’t taken long for Pena to help Astros fans forget about star shortstop Carlos Correa, who left after the 2021 season and joined the Minnesota Twins.
Pena won a Gold Glove last season and was the main hero for the Astros last October.
In 136 games in 2022, Pena hit 22 home runs, drove in 63, stole 11 bases, and hit for a .253 average.
The star shortstop picked up a hit on Sunday.
But with his historic accomplishment, he has joined an Astros fan favorite in elite company.
Back when Burke accomplished the feat, the Astros were still in the National League.
It’s been 18 years since an Astros star accomplished something like this, but Pena is now the newest member of this all-exclusive club.
