The New York Jets have made a lot of noise during this NFL offseason, with the storied franchise expected to be one of the most intriguing teams heading into the 2023 campaign.
New York is still working on the blockbuster trade to acquire superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers, with many believing it’s only a matter of time before the deal gets done.
It seems as though the two teams have had trouble seeing eye-to-eye on the details of the trade, even though Rodgers already said he intends to play quarterback for the Jets next season.
With Rodgers likely to be traded to New York at some point in the near future, Zach Wilson will become a backup in New York, leading to an uncertain future for the former first-round draft pick.
Despite the imminent arrival of Rodgers, Wilson remains determined to make an impression this offseason and has reportedly shown up to the first day of the team’s offseason program, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.

With a four-time NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion coming to town, Wilson’s future isn’t looking bright.
Rodgers isn’t considering a long-term fix for the Jets as he could easily be one-and-done in New York, as he was already on the verge of retirement before deciding to continue his playing career with the Jets.
As for Wilson, the Brigham Young University product said he plans to give whatever veteran quarterback heads to New York a run for their money, so things are bound to get interesting even if it results in the young quarterback getting humbled once again.
