The 2022 NFL season was a forgettable experience for the Denver Broncos and their new superstar quarterback Russell Wilson formerly of the Seattle Seahawks.
The Broncos went all out to acquire Wilson from the Seahawks, and as a result, the team was considered to be a legitimate Super Bowl title contender.
Unfortunately, nothing seemed to go right for the Broncos, as the team struggled to protect Wilson, who seemed to have lost a step compared to his time in Seattle as Pete Carroll’s superstar under center.
Denver has already gotten to work to bounce back next season, as the team has hired one-time Super Bowl champion Sean Payton to help right the ship, but things don’t appear to be going well for Wilson so far, as he was reportedly involved in a golf cart accident, according to Matt Smith of 104.3 The Fan.
Confirmed via sources that this is TRUE.
Russell Wilson flipped a golf cart into a bunker at Arrowhead Golf Course yesterday.
No one was hurt. All is well.
The guess here is he didn’t see the bunker while looking for his ball and went right in @DenverSportsCom pic.twitter.com/repHtGY9D0

This is concerning news for the Broncos, as the last thing the team needs is to start the 2023 NFL season with Wilson on the mend.
However, as Smith points out, no one was hurt, which will almost certainly have Payton breathing a sigh of relief in Denver.
Accidents like this happen on golf courses all the time, especially with golfers going a little too heavy on alcohol while making the rounds on the greens on a Sunday afternoon.
Hopefully, for Wilson’s sake, alcohol wasn’t involved in this incident, and it was simply a freak accident that’ll be forgotten in the months leading up to Broncos training camp and the start of the 2023 campaign.
