Miguel Cabrera has certainly come a long way in his legendary career.
20 years have gone by pretty fast.
The slugger began his career in 2003 with the then-Florida Marlins at the age of 19.
That year, he helped the Marlins win their second World Series title, which included a comeback from down 3-1 in the NLCS.
Cabrera became a legend in Miami, but later joined the Detroit Tigers and continued his legacy there.
The veteran slugger turns 40 years old on Tuesday.
On Twitter, MLB posted a collage of photos to show just how far Cabrera has come since his rookie campaign and what he has been able to accomplish.

Cabrera won his first ring in 2003 and later helped the Tigers make a run to the World Series in 2012.
He also won the American League MVP Award and the Triple Crown.
The future Hall-of-Famer has hit 507 career home runs and has a grand total of 3,095 hits.
He reached the 3,000-hit mark last season.
Cabrera also has a lifetime average of .308 and an OPS of .907.
But the pictures show just how far he has come.
Back in 2003, he was just a rookie and got to celebrate his first World Series title.
He then continued his rise to fame and became one of the best players in all of baseball, winning two MVPs and a Triple Crown.
Last year was a special year for him, as he earned his 3,000th hit and also was selected to his 12th All-Star team.
Cabrera will be retiring at the end of this season.
