NFL players are just like the rest of us; they just happen to make way more money than the average person.

So, just imagine how Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons may have felt after doing his taxes.

The budding NFL star took to Twitter to share his thoughts and experience, stating that he was going to reconsider his whole life.

Man I just did taxes!! Wow! I Just re evaluated my whole life!!

Notably, that was perhaps the most relatable moment any NFL player has had in recent times.

Las Vegas has ZERO income tax. Something to consider on your next contract.

The 23-year-old is signed to a four-year contract worth roughly $17 million, and even though he lives in a state with no income tax, he still has to pay his chunk of money to the federal government.

Parsons made just under $1.5 million in contract earnings alone in 2022, so he may have had to pay nearly $500,000 in taxes.

Ouch, that’s gotta hurt.

Fortunately for him, it seems like he’s due to make way more money to make up for that loss, as he’s become one of the most promising defensive players in the league in no time.

Parsons’ versatility and ability to line up nearly everywhere on the defensive side of the field have turned him into a standard-setter in the league already, and he’ll be the defensive anchor for America’s Team for years to come.

He’ll enter his third season in the league, so he’ll be eligible to sign a max contract extension soon, and you know Jerry Jones won’t hesitate to get him paid to keep him around.

So, yeah, don’t worry, Micah, you’ll have plenty more to spare.
