Draymond Green’s stomp on Domantas Sabonis could mark a milestone in Golden State Warriors history.
When they make a documentary on The Dynasty — and they will — that moment could be a bit of a breaking point, with replays in slow-motion and multiple people talking about how it was the beginning of the end.
Green has officially been suspended for Game 3 of their series vs. the Sacramento Kings, which is a must-win contest after falling 0-2.
Per The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the league eventually decided to suspend Green because of his history of unsportsmanlike plays, not because of the stomp per se.
Charania adds that most people within the Warriors organization expected a fine, not a suspension.

Needless to say, Dubs fans and fans alike rallied to share their thoughts on this somewhat controversial matter.
how does past plays make any effect on whether he should be suspended in 2023? did he not already serve his time for previous transgressions? so he has to double his punishments now every time?

We’re coming up the end of an era when that era’s dynasty team & its players finally start getting the same treatment/discipline as all other non-dynasty team/players. Whatever the case, enough is enough &, unfortunately, he may have just cost his team a playoff run.

While the league should never condone violence or unsportsmanlike conduct, it’s kind of crazy to think that they would suspend a key player ahead of a must-win playoff game.
It’s not the suspension itself but the fact that they admitted that it was due to a string of plays rather than the violence of that particular incident.
Green has been on the offending end of multiple questionable plays throughout the course of his career, so it was going to catch up to him eventually.
But still, this suspension will most likely lead to speculation from fans for many years to come, not to mention the fact that this could be the end of the Warriors dynasty as we know it.
