Kawhi Leonard hasn’t been with the Los Angeles Clippers for long, but he’s already made history for the organization.
With his 31-point performance in their Game 2 loss versus the Phoenix Suns, he’s now tied with franchise legend Bob McAdoo for the most 30+ point playoff games in team history (14), according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Notably, Leonard has missed plenty of time since arriving in Los Angeles, so that only makes this accomplishment even more notable.
Kawhi is a bonafide playoff performer, and he’s always made it all about being ready and fresh for the postseason.
He put the team on his shoulders in Game 1, but couldn’t lead them to a win in the following matchup.
Leonard and Paul George arrived in Los Angeles to pursue the team’s first-ever NBA championship, but injuries have kept them from being on the floor together deep in the postseason.
George is currently nursing a knee injury and has no timetable to return, yet there’s optimism that he can be back on the floor if the Clippers manage to get past Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and the Suns.
That’s not going to be an easy task, given that the Suns are one of the biggest candidates to come out of the Western Conference, especially if the Clippers are undermanned.
But Leonard is one of the most impactful two-way players in NBA history when healthy, and Russell Westbrook also rose to the occasion and made some huge plays down the stretch in Game 1, so we still can’t rule them out in this series.
