The Memphis Grizzlies had a very strong 2022-23 season.
Because of their hard work, deep roster, and youthful energy, they ended the year as the second team in the West and are currently battling the Los Angeles Lakers in the opening round of the playoffs.
But as great as they are, the Grizzlies have accumulated a few detractors and people who are sick of their in-your-face attitudes.
According to The Athletic, via NBACentral, one anonymous NBA player has had it with the Grizz.
“They’re frontrunners. They’re just extra. They talk when they’re winning. They don’t say s— when they’re losing. Their whole thing over there is just annoying,” the player said.

Based on the reaction to this news online, it seems that this player isn’t the only one with sour feelings about the Grizzlies.
There were many people coming out to voice their opinions about the up-and-coming team.
One fan made a joke that the anonymous NBA player was none other than Draymond Green, who has had his fair share of run-ins with Memphis.

Others took the report as an opportunity to support the Lakers, who are currently leading the Grizzlies 1-0 in their series.

And then there were some who said that the Grizzlies have a chance of truly being championship contenders, no matter how many people they anger.
But the fan stated that they are missing just one final piece to take them over the edge.
They like a piece away from having a championship roster. They just need an upgrade at small forward.

The Grizzlies have been through a lot over the last year with the outspoken comments of Dillon Brooks, the numerous legal problems of Ja Morant, and a rising profile among fans.
They are getting a lot more attention now and a lot more negative comments too.
But that doesn’t change the fact that they are a highly competitive and capable team.
