With the 2023 NFL Draft just a handful of days away, any minor detail could take a toll on any prospect’s draft stock.

That’s why Miami Dolphins star Jalen Ramsey wasn’t having it when Brady Quinn reported that C.J. Stroud was a no-show at the Manning Passing Academy, stating that he failed to attempt a camp and “ghosted them” after initially committing to serve as a counselor.

Ramsey came to his defense and stated that trying to take down a young player before the draft was lame, then taking a personal shot at Brady over his failed NFL career.

Fake story! Tryna beak a kid down before the draft is lame, especially for not going to a camp that I’m sure he wasn’t getting paid for & instead working with his teammates! Plus @Brady_Quinn , you was a bust, shut up! You shoulda went to a passing academy or 2!
God bless tho https://t.co/vUZDe57dO4

He also pointed out the fact that Stroud may have chosen to work out with his teammates instead of attending an event he wasn’t even getting paid to attend.

To be fair, Quinn did also say that Stroud is the most accurate passer in the draft and a gifted athlete, so it’s not like he was trying to tear him apart and take him down.

Whether Stroud actually ghosted the Mannings after initially committing to attend or not hasn’t been confirmed by any official source, so it might not affect his stock as a projected top-5 — or even top-2 — pick.

Stroud was a two-time Heisman finalist during his time with the Buckeyes, and he’s coming off a prolific season by throwing for 3,688 yards, 41 touchdowns, and just six interceptions on a 66.% completion percentage.

He’s one of the most athletic players in the draft, and his ability to extend plays with his feet and place the football in tight spaces has been remarkable throughout his collegiate career.
