The Philadelphia 76ers have jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first round over the Brooklyn Nets.

The play of MVP candidate Joel Embiid has been a big reason why.

But another player has stepped up for the 76ers in the playoffs.

That is guard Tyrese Maxey.

He has taken his game up a level in the playoffs and had an incredible fourth quarter in Game 3 on Thursday night.

Maxey scored 10 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter and led the 76ers to a comeback win.

One spot he has improved is with his three-point shooting.

Last season, Maxey shot 42.7% from three, while this year he was at 43.4%.

Also, in Game 3 he led the 76ers in points with 25 on only 17 shots.

Colin Cowherd thinks this is the coming out game for Maxey, and that he has arrived.

The 76ers are at their best when Maxey is scoring the ball.

He helps open things up for Embiid and James Harden.

The three of them can put pressure on opposing defenses with their ability to attack the rim.

Philadelphia has championship aspirations this year, and Maxey will play a major role in them getting there.

The second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs is setting up to be 76ers vs. Celtics.

Boston has owned the Sixers in years past, but Philly is hoping that this year is different.

Maxey could very well end up being the difference-maker in what should be a highly competitive series.
