When the Sacramento Kings took a 2-0 series lead over the Golden State Warriors, some thought they were on their way to quickly putting away the defending NBA champions.
But Golden State took the next two at home, and all of a sudden, this series is taking on the look of a dogfight.
Kings head coach Mike Brown says he feels pretty good about where his team stands at this point, given that it is essentially a best-of-three series with Game 5 and Game 7 (if necessary) in Sacramento.

The Warriors fought in the first two games in the capital of California, but the Kings were able to make the big shots and plays down the stretch to take both contests.
When Draymond Green, the Warriors’ Swiss Army knife and emotional leader, was suspended for Game 3 after stomping on Sacramento All-Star center Domantas Sabonis in Game 2, it looked like his team was in trouble.
But they blew out Sacramento in Game 3, then won a close shootout in Game 4 despite a big blunder by Stephen Curry, who called an illegal timeout in the final moments of the contest.
Now it will be a test of the Kings’ youth and inexperience versus the grizzled but inconsistent Warriors.
Game 5 could be a virtual must-win for Sacramento, as the Warriors are one of the NBA’s best home teams, and they could be headed for elimination should they fall in Game 5.
On the other hand, Golden State has struggled on the road all season, and should the Kings get this series to a Game 7, perhaps their raucous fans will carry them to a series victory.
