Years ago, Jeremy Lin burst into the NBA scene to become one of the best stories in recent New York Knicks history.
“Linsanity” was everywhere, with fans hoping the Knicks had found their point guard for the future.
Eventually, Lin’s magic wore out, and he wasn’t able to keep up that iconic run, but he did manage to have a decent career in the league.

Now, the former NBA player is shining in Taiwan, becoming the first player in league history to record a 50-point triple-double.
Of course, the P League’s competitiveness is nowhere near the NBA’s, but it’s still remarkable that Lin continues to thrive as a professional hooper instead of giving up on his dream just because the doors of the league have been shut to him.
Lin has constantly advocated for getting another chance in the NBA, and he’s even had multiple stints in the G League.
But he’s 34 years old already, and he won’t bring a lot to the table other than shooting and a somewhat serviceable backup point guard role.
Lin went undrafted in 2010 before getting a chance with the Golden State Warriors.
He later played for the Knicks, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, Brooklyn Nets, Atlanta Hawks, and Toronto Raptors before taking his talents overseas and then attempting a failed NBA comeback.
His NBA career may not have ended the way he hoped for, but he still beat the odds by just making it to the league as an Ivy League player, and he’ll always have a special play in Knicks fans’ hearts.
