Chris Taylor had a big night at the plate on Tuesday, picking up three hits, including a go-ahead three-run home run in the eighth inning to erase what was left of a 7-2 deficit.

The veteran utilityman has gotten off to a bit of a tough start in 2023, hitting just .163 on the year with five homers and 10 RBI.

However, he may have turned the corner on Tuesday with his big night.

After his inspired performance led the Los Angeles Dodgers to a key come-from-behind victory, Taylor discussed what was working for him and how it felt to finally have some positive results.

Taylor commented on his process this season, saying that he had been grinding for quite some time and struggling at the plate.

But the veteran slugger said he was happy to help the Dodgers pull off an improbable win against the Pirates, who are tied with the Atlanta Braves for the National League’s best record.

Taylor also said that he was doing his best to use the entire field at PNC Park, attempting to find holes when he could.

The veteran star says he hopes that this performance helped him unlock his full potential at the plate, which could ultimately get him back on track for the rest of the 2023 season.

Finally, Taylor commented on the contributions of the Dodgers’ young stars.

In particular, Taylor vocalized his excitement for rookie Michael Busch, who picked up his first career hit and drove in his first run in Tuesday’s game.
