The Arizona Cardinals are all set at the quarterback position, so they could be willing to shop the third overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Arizona could use the No. 3 overall pick to land a defensive star like Will Anderson Jr. or Jalen Carter, but it seems like other plans could be in store.
According to ESPN’s Diana Russini, the Cardinals are fielding calls regarding this pick, so it’ll be interesting to see whether or not they trade down.
I’m told the Arizona Cardinals are currently mulling trade offers from multiple teams interested in moving to No. 3 overall.

Some insiders predicted this could happen, and it could put the Indianapolis Colts in a difficult predicament.
The Colts hold the No. 4 pick in the draft, one behind the Cardinals.
Because of that, a team that trades for Arizona’s No. 3 pick could scoop a quarterback off the board before the Colts have a chance to make their preferred selection.
It’s reported that Indianapolis has its eyes on Kentucky QB Will Levis with the fourth pick, but there’s a chance he won’t make it that far in the draft.
That’s especially true if Arizona makes a trade with another QB-needy team.
On the other hand, the Cardinals aren’t expected to compete at a high level next season, so another top-five draft pick could be in their future.
Arizona QB Kyler Murray could miss time early in the season while recovering from a knee injury sustained last December.
Additionally, star WR DeAndre Hopkins is a trade candidate that is expected to be moved to a different team in the offseason.
New coach Jonathan Gannon could and should be tempted by the prospect of revamping their ever-struggling defense, given he comes from being the defensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Nonetheless, it seems like the team isn’t fully enamored by any of the top-tier prospects in this class, and Arizona is in a position to potentially land more first-round picks in a trade for the No. 3 overall selection.
So, keep an eye on those teams with multiple picks and a need at QB.
