The Los Angeles Lakers had a tough outing in Game 5 against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Desmond Bane and Ja Morant put the team on their shoulders, and it seemed like all shots were falling in the second half.

However, the loss may also have had a lot to do with LeBron James’ terrible shooting, as he went just 1-for-9 from three-point range and 5-for-17 overall.

Even so, and regardless of the self-criticism of James, Anthony Davis had nothing but praise for him and states he’s going to bounce back in no time, per reporter Jovan Buha.

Anthony Davis on LeBron James’ Game 5 performance: “He has the most points scored ever. He’s the greatest to ever touch the court. He’s fine. He’ll be fine. He’ll adjust.”

Those are the kind of words you want to hear from your co-star, and he’s right on point.

LeBron isn’t the kind of player who usually has two bad shooting nights in a row, and he’s always been a high-percentage volume scorer.

Even on a bad night, James managed to put up 15 points, and he’s the kind of player who’ll always find ways of impacting the game even when his shot isn’t falling.

The series will now head back to Southern California for Game 6, and the Lakers cannot miss another opportunity to close them out and put this series to bed once and for all.

They cannot afford this to extend any further, especially considering the Golden State Warriors might finish the Sacramento Kings off and could get some much-needed rest ahead of this potential Western Conference semifinals matchup.

So, yeah, James will be fine, so Taylor Jenkins and company better be prepared when they head back to Crypto.com Arena.
