The Miami Heat just made history.
They became the sixth No. 8 seed to ever take down a No. 1 seed, and they did it against the team with the best record in the league overall.
Now, they’ll travel to New York City for a two-game date with the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, with the series starting on Sunday.
However, it seems like a reporter didn’t actually know the game was on Sunday, so Heat star Jimmy Butler poked some fun at him during the press conference.
Reporter: “What does it say about this team that you are sitting here now having defeated the No. 1 seed, getting ready for National TV at MSG on Saturday?”
Jimmy Butler: “Don’t we play on Sunday?”
R: “Sunday, sorry.”
JB: “Look at you. Do your job.” pic.twitter.com/3Wlx2YKFxI

That’s classic Jimmy Buckets right there, and the fans really enjoyed that clip.
Jimmy Butler doesn’t always talk to the media, but when he does, he gives the best soundbites in the game. Take notes, journalists, this is how you keep it real AND entertaining.

Lebron James could never have this aura

It’s Ira Winderman. A HEAT beat writer
He gives him jabs all the time… all the heat players play with him.
Leave to the media to try and paint Jimmy as the bad guy again.

He’s clearly joking and yet everybody thinks he was being serious

He’s joking but socially awkward people are not going to realize that

He pays attention to detail and will crack a joke after sending Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks packing.
For years, Butler drew some criticism for his unorthodox ways and leadership skills, with some media members going as far as to call him a toxic teammate.
But he’s been a beloved guy — except by Karl-Anthony Towns and Ben Simmons — nearly everywhere he’s gone, and he seems like the kind of player his teammates would run through a wall for.
Butler’s unmatched energy was contagious throughout the whole series.
He led by example, and the rest of the guys followed along en route to this epic five-game upset.
Notably, the Heat will need a lot more of that in the next series as well, as that Knicks team is tough as nails, and they won’t have their second-best scorer in Tyler Herro.
But hey, even if things are tough, you have to like their chances with Butler playing in easy mode right now.
