On Thursday night, fans of the New York Yankees were left holding their breath when slugger and reigning American League MVP Aaron Judge was removed from the game due to wrist discomfort.
Judge had an awkward headfirst slide into third base on Wednesday against the Minnesota Twins.
New York defeated the Texas Rangers by a final score of 4-2, but Judge was seen favoring his right hand over his left after swinging at a pitch.
And so, the Yankees pulled the star outfielder from the ballgame.
On Twitter, MLB analyst Mike Kurland relayed an encouraging update on the star outfielder after he had left the game.
#Yankees Aaron Judge left in the 4th inning with what appeared to be an aggravation of the hand injury he sustained running the base paths yesterday – on that ugly slide.
Tests on it came back clean according to announcers. Obviously it was an issue tonight. pic.twitter.com/tKZjJ36FQb

Kurland shared that tests came back clean on Judge’s wrist, which is good news for the Yankees and their fans.
However, it clearly was an issue and was bothering Judge for much of the game.
Still, Judge may only need a day or two off to recover fully and get back into the Yankees lineup.
It isn’t known yet whether or not the 31-year-old will land on the injured list.
Judge managed to stay healthy for all of last season after having dealt with multiple injuries over the course of his career.
Naturally, Yankees fans were concerned about the issue.
Fortunately, it doesn’t appear to be too serious of an injury, and it seems as though Judge was feeling residual effects from the slide.
The Yankees will hope that this issue will not require a stint on the injured list for the reigning MVP.
Judge hit 62 home runs last season and broke Roger Maris’ single-season record in the American League.
