The Atlanta Hawks put in a huge effort and gave their all in their first-round loss to the Boston Celtics.
They were pretty close to forcing Game 7, and the sole fact that they beat the Miami Heat to clinch that No. 7 seed spoke volumes to their improvement.
Clearly, head coach Quin Snyder was the right guy to take the reins of the team after a couple of tumultuous seasons, and it seems like he’s earned the respect of franchise player Trae Young.
Young had plenty of praise for Coach Snyder and what he was able to do in his limited time with the team.
“I think he’s going to be great for us and I’m excited for the future with him.”

He added that he’s looking forward to what he’ll bring to the organization in the future, showing his support for him to run it back next season.
Notably, Snyder’s continuity with the team was never put into question.
On the other hand, Young’s future with the Hawks has been uncertain at times.
The talented point guard has been the subject of rumors and criticism throughout the season, with reports about his character and some of his teammates not liking him so much.
There were even rumors about the Hawks being open to moving on from Young in the offseason if they found a trade partner for him.
Young had some impressive performances in the postseason, even forcing Game 6 with a game-winning 30-footer at the TD Garden.
The offensive talent is definitely there, and it would be better for both parties to make amends and continue to build the roster around Young’s talent.
For now, it seems like he’s up for it.
