The Boston Celtics beat the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday night, eliminating that team from the playoffs and creating a path into the second round.
The final game in Atlanta was gaining a lot of attention – and created a few surprising headlines too.
That’s because a scheduling conflict forced pop star Janet Jackson to move her concert from Thursday to Friday night since both her show and Game 6 were booked at State Farm Arena on the same night.
Jayson Tatum addressed this situation.
“I want to send an apology to the legend Janet Jackson. We were supposed to close it out in Boston. She had to postpone her show. I hope she sees this. I apologize for that,” Brown said following Thursday’s big win.

Fans online had a lot to say about Tatum’s statement regarding Jackson.
Some felt that the Celtics stole their win over Atlanta and that luck had a lot to do with their victory.

Others reminded Hawks fans that the future was still very bright for the Atlanta team.
With just a few tweaks, they could be just as good as the Knicks next year, one fan claimed.
Ha! Someone wants to cheer up a bit his fanbase after what Trea did last game in Boston.
Hawks fans must be proud of what this team have achieved, a few adjustments and they could have a Knicks type of season next year.

Others told Tatum to keep his eyes on the prize and to not let up, hoping that he closes out the next series faster than this one.
Facts, truly hope you’ll learned from that and take care of business moving forward

And others want Jaylen Brown to get more credit for the win.
Brown did have a stellar night with his 32 points.
I don’t understand how JT gets all credit. Brown was ballin

Tatum was obviously feeling good and cheerful following the big win but it’s not clear how long that happiness will last.
The Celtics now face the much tougher Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
