With the Lamar Jackson situation finally resolved thanks to the $260 million, five-year contract he just agreed to, the Baltimore Ravens can now focus on getting him some help on offense.
With the No. 22 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Ravens took wide receiver Zay Flowers, who played four years of college ball at Boston College.
Head coach John Harbaugh sounds very happy with the decision the organization made to take Flowers.
John Harbaugh on Zay Flowers: “Zay was our top rated receiver, I would say 100% consensus. Everybody had him as our guy.”

Flowers put up 1,077 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns last season for BC, and he was considered one of the better wide receiver prospects in this year’s draft.
This hasn’t been one of the best crops in terms of wideouts, but Flowers could become a productive player.
He ran the 40-yard dash in a robust 4.42 seconds, and he plays with plenty of energy and swagger.
The concern with him is the fact that he is listed as being just 5-foot-9 and doesn’t have big hands.
The Ravens lacked any wide receivers last season who reached 500 yards, and as a result, they were forced to depend a lot on Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews, who posted 847 yards and five touchdowns.
Former three-time Pro Bowler Odell Beckham Jr. has come to Baltimore on a big one-year contract, but it is anyone’s guess if he will be able to recapture his old form after two ACL injuries in a span of less than 18 months.
The Ravens went 10-7 last season, and they play in a tough division, as the AFC North boasts the Cincinnati Bengals, who are perennial Super Bowl contenders, as well as the up-and-coming Cleveland Browns.
