The 2023 NFL Draft is now over, and teams across the league can now further prepare for the ensuing season.

The New York Jets added seven new players to their team in the draft, who are slated to compete alongside Aaron Rodgers.

For the first time in several years, Jets fans appear to be confident about the upcoming season, believing they have a genuine chance to make the playoffs.

In a recent interview with SNY, Joe Douglas had several comments about the Jets’ draft, and what the 2023 season might look like.

“All of these guys bring in an element of size, speed, and athleticism,” said Douglas.

“They love football and they got the size and athletic ability. We’re just excited to get ’em in the team.”

While the draft certainly isn’t won or lost on the day that it happens, Douglas expressed pure excitement about the new players on their roster.

The Jets used their 5th-round pick on Isreal Abanikanda, who played at the University of Pittsburgh.

When describing him, Douglas called him a “home run hitter, highly productive.”

In general, Douglas described the Jets’ draft class as “they got the size and athletic ability,” and noted “they love football.”

If Douglas’ comments are any indication, the Jets will enter the 2023 season with a renewed roster, and a sense of hope moving forward.

The Jets currently hold the NFL’s longest active playoff drought and will look to change that in 2023.

With Rodgers at the helm and their new draft picks in tow, anything is possible.

The AFC East is loaded with talent, and the Jets will have their work cut out for them.
