The Arizona Cardinals were expected to trade wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins at some point this offseason.
He is a veteran wide receiver that is no longer needed on a rebuilding team.
But it appears that a trade might not end up getting done.
Hopkins was thought to want to play for a contending team, but that might not be the case.
The wide receiver released a video stating “Who said I wanna go? Who said I wanna leave?”

If the Cardinals were to trade him, it would have made sense to do it before the draft.
That way the Cardinals could have picked up a few more draft picks to use.
Many Cardinals fans would love to see Hopkins back with the team this year.
Hopefully he stays for another year but I doubt he will. I think the Cardinals will trade him before the season starts. It makes sense for both sides. Cardinals are rebuilding and Dhop wants to go to a contender team.

Hopkins is set to make just over $19 million this season, which might be a number other teams do not want to pay.
Happy to see this. He’s still gonna cash in wherever he plays!

Even though Arizona might be entering a rebuild, some fans still want their best offensive player extended.
With quarterback Kyler Murray expected to miss the first half of the season, the Cardinals will have a difficult time winning.
Extend him. You can’t start from scratch and expect a quick turnaround.

Hopkins is one of the true difference makers at wide receiver in the NFL.
He will make a major impact on whatever team he plays on, and it looks like that will be the Cardinals.
I knew Nuk wanted to stay all along I’m here for it ! Offense will be better than most people expect next year

Trade talks might continue to surface as we head into offseason workouts.
But it looks like Hopkins will remain a Cardinal for at least next season.
