Few teams in the NBA have gone through as many changes and dealt with as much drama over the past few years as the Brooklyn Nets.
This past NBA regular season, the Nets cleaned house due to trade requests made by Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, which sent the franchise in a completely different direction after having title-contending aspirations.
Before Irving and Durant decided to leave Brooklyn, the Nets had parted ways with head coach Steve Nash, which resulted in the team being handed over to Jacque Vaughn, who did a better job than expected, considering the circumstances.
With the Nets’ 2022-23 campaign officially over after being swept by the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the NBA playoffs, the team is starting to make decisions about the future, with the coaching staff being the first thing to be addressed, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

With Vaughn inheriting the coaching staff in Brooklyn and the team seemingly ready to stick with him moving forward, it is no surprise that the coaching staff would be overhauled to his liking for next season and potentially beyond.
This also gives Igor Kokoskov, Brian Keefe, and Tiago Splitter the ability to pursue other coaching jobs around the league or elsewhere.
As for Vaughn, the future may be bright in Brooklyn, with Mikal Bridges looking like the real deal as a potential star in the making and the rumors floating around about Damian Lillard possibly being in the team’s crosshairs moving forward.
Even though it seemed like the Nets were headed for disaster, it may not be that bad with Vaughn leading the way.
