Rob Gronkowski Has Advice For Players Who Fell In The Draft

The 2023 NFL Draft is on the books already, so the jury is out on all those players who’ll take their talents to the league.

Of course, that means that high draft picks will be tested and judged heavily, whereas those who fell will have a chance to prove their doubters wrong.

Notably, that’s what future Hall of Famer Rob Gronkowski wants them to do.

.@RobGronkowski shares words of encouragement for players who fell in this year’s #NFLDraft:

“It doesn’t matter where you get drafted… Your legacy starts when you get to the facility… You have an opportunity to shine to show those teams that they all messed up.” pic.twitter.com/DgNeC6Sv3i

In his latest appearance in FanDuel TV’s Up & Adams, the multi-time Super Bowl champion reminded all those draft picks that it doesn’t matter when you’re picked but what you do with every minor opportunity you get to prove your worth.

Gronk sure knows a thing or two about outplaying his draft position and proving the doubters wrong.

He was the No. 42 pick back in the 2010 NFL Draft, and he wound up becoming one of the greatest — if not the greatest — tight end in the history of this game.

He also got to know and worked closely with Tom Brady, who was taken with the No. 199 pick and beat the odds year in and year out to become arguably the greatest player in NFL history.

Making it to the league is hard, but it’s nothing compared to actually staying and having a long and successful career in it.

And more often than not, it’s not the most talented and highest-touted players who become legends, but those who are willing to outwork every single person in the facility and on the field every single time they get a chance.
