The New York Jets offense has gone through significant changes in the offseason.

Besides landing star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the Jets have added receivers in Mecole Hardman, Allen Lazard, and Randall Cobb — to name a few.

Rodgers and the Jets will look to make the playoffs for the first time in 12 years, which is the longest active drought in the league.

The organization has invested significant capital in this unit while pairing that with the inherent strength of the New York defense.

Last season, the defense allowed 19.1 points per game, which was the fourth-lowest in the league.

Despite their defensive excellence, the Jets offense only scored 18.1 points per game, a bottom-six unit across the league.

With Rodgers at the helm, there is a widespread belief that the offense will improve and give them a chance to win the division.

Not only will Rodgers be joined by several quality receivers, but second-year running back Breece Hall should return after sustaining a season-ending injury in 2022.

Powered by an impactful running game and an ever-improving passing attack, the Jets could find themselves in a position to compete in 2023.

Will their on-paper talent result in on-field production?

Rodgers has already committed to early offseason workouts, something he didn’t do over the last several seasons as a member of the Green Bay Packers.

With any luck, Rodgers will have a chip on his shoulder this season, resulting in another MVP-caliber performance.

If that happens, then the Jets could win the AFC East for the first time since 2002.
