The Golden State Warriors weren’t at their best in Game 1.

They came out of the locker room with a lot of energy in the first quarter but failed to keep that intensity throughout the whole game.

Even so, and even despite a massive disparity at the free-throw line, they still managed to keep the game close.

That’s why Klay Thompson isn’t ready to cry over spilled milk.

“Morale is not low.”

The four-time NBA champion talked about the quick turnaround of an emotionally-draining first-round series against the Sacramento Kings.

After playing Game 7 in Sacramento, the Warriors had to turn around and be ready for a high-flying matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Despite dropping Game 1 at home, Thompson claims that morale isn’t low inside the Golden State locker room.

The Warriors know they have the talent and willpower to turn things around, as they have proven numerous times in previous postseason appearances.

Golden State has been historically good at making adjustments in the playoffs, and head coach Steve Kerr is a mastermind when it comes to making tweaks in order to bounce back from a tough loss.

The Warriors have shown plenty of character and resiliency throughout the years while constantly finding ways to persevere no matter how unfavorable the situation might seem.

They’ve now lost home-court advantage to the Lakers, which is obviously a huge blow for a team that struggled on the road all year long.

Even so, the Warriors have a long history of taking LeBron James down in the postseason, so it’s not the time to panic…yet.
