One team that will be under the microscope during the 2023 NFL season is the Denver Broncos.

After a disastrous first season with the Broncos, superstar quarterback Russell Wilson will be under tremendous pressure to bounce back and prove that the storied franchise made the right choice in trading for him last year.

With Wilson now being a potential liability for the Broncos, the team will need a decent backup behind him if it all falls apart for the nine-time Pro Bowler during the 2023 campaign.

The Broncos addressed the quarterback position early in NFL free agency by signing former Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Jarrett Stidham.

But they aren’t done yet, as they’ll be taking a look at former Cowboys QB Ben DiNucci during minicamp, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

DiNucci played in three games with the Cowboys in 2020, where he threw for 219 yards.

The 26-year-old most recently played in the XFL for the Seattle Sea Dragons.

Obviously, DiNucci is looked at as another body at the quarterback position for training camp and isn’t a serious threat to Stidham or Wilson unless something drastic happens in Denver.

Along with hoping Wilson will be able to bounce back from his worst season as a pro, the Broncos went all out during this offseason by hiring the most desirable head coach available in New Orleans Saints legend Sean Payton.

It’ll be interesting to see how everything comes together in Denver and if the Broncos can get back on track as a force to be reckoned with in the AFC, as the pressure will be on with Payton now calling the shots on the sideline.
