The Golden State Warriors cannot afford to fall into an 0-2 hole again.
They managed to come back from a 0-2 deficit against the Sacramento Kings, but they weren’t the home team that time.
So, trying to go to Crypto.Com Arena and take both games there would be a tough task, especially given their woes on the road this season.
That’s why Vince Carter believes this is a “need-win” game for the Dubs.

He predicts we’ll get to see the same Stephen Curry we saw in Game 7 in Sacramento, stating that he’ll be more aggressive in his drives to the rim, and that will help the Dubs get more open looks.
Carter also believes their defensive intensity will be up a notch, which will obviously help them get more threes in transition, which has always been one of their specialties.
The Lakers were the tougher team in Game 1, and Anthony Davis made sure to step up and rise to the occasion.
They cannot afford that to happen again by any means.
Davis’ presence kept them away from the rim all game long, up to the point where they only shot six free throws.
Steve Kerr has made a name for himself for making timely and sound adjustments in the postseason, so it’ll be interesting to see how things turn out in this chess match.
The reigning champions have overcome a lot to reach this point, so you better believe they’re not going to be pushed around at home for the second game in a row.
