The Los Angeles Lakers have quite a few stunning stars but there is no doubt that Anthony Davis has been the most pivotal lately.
During the postseason, Davis has averaged 22.1 points and 15 rebounds and has repeatedly been the lynchpin holding the team together.
To many, he’s been playing the best basketball of his career.
Davis knows what’s at stake in these playoffs and he wants to capitalize on the power of himself and the team.
According to Jovan Buha, Davis opened up about this impressive postseason run for his team.
He said:
“When you look at me and Bron, we consider ourselves one of the top duos in the league. We’re trying to do everything we can to try to take advantage of this window that we have. Championship-built teams don’t always come around.”

Davis’ statement echoes what many have said about this current Lakers team: they need to take advantage of the time they have together.
LeBron James only has so many more seasons before he has to retire.
As for Davis, injuries often get the best of him and force him to miss time during the season.
Most people agree that the duo of James and Davis is one of the best in the league, but they won’t be together forever.
That means the Lakers need to find as much success with these two while they can.
It’s not just James and Davis who are doing well – others like Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt, D’Angelo Russell, and more have made this team a true contender.
They certainly look “championship-built.”
Just a few months ago, the Lakers were a team that didn’t work well and had a bunch of pieces that did not fit.
Now they look like something special and Davis wants to keep taking advantage of that.
