The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers are currently in the midst of a much-watch and hotly-anticipated series.

That means that Stephen Curry and LeBron James are competing in the playoffs for the first time in years, with only one on the way to the Western Conference Finals.

This has reignited an age-old debate: Who is the better NBA star?

Brian Windhorst praised Curry but made his choice clear.

“Mr. Curry is not LeBron James…Steph’s teams were always better,” Windhorst said on Thursday morning’s episode of Get Up.

Windhorst made a point to not limit what Curry has done in his career and for the league as a whole.

But he repeatedly mentioned that James has won four championships and returned to the playoffs and Finals multiple times with teams of varying degrees of talent.

Meanwhile, Curry has been playing with one team that is considered to have one of the best coaches and rosters in recent NBA history.

But the fact remains that both Curry and James have won four Finals and one of them could claim their fifth this year.

For years now, people have debated who is the better star.

Some people say that whoever wins their fifth ring first will be superior.

Others, like Windhorst, argue it’s not as cut-and-dry as that and multiple factors need to be taken into consideration.

There will never be a definitive answer when it comes to this question since it’s open to opinion.

But one thing is undeniable: these are two of the greatest basketball players to ever be in the NBA and fans are very lucky to see them facing off.
